Our Core Beliefs
The Bible
The Bible is God’s Word to all people. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. Because it was inspired by God, the Bible is truth without any mixture of error and is completely relevant to our daily lives.
Trinity
God has existed in relationship with Himself for all eternity. He exists as one substance in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Although each member of the Trinity serves different functions, they each possess equal power and authority.
The Father
God is great: He is all powerful, all knowing, ever present, unchanging, completely worthy of our trust, and above all, Holy. It is in Him that we live, move and exist. God is good. He is our Father. He is loving, compassionate, and faithful to His people and His promises.
The Son
Jesus Christ is completely human but, at the same time, completely God. He is the only plan for bringing people who are far from God back into a right relationship with God. He lived a perfect life, so that He could be a substitution for us in satisfying God’s demands for perfection. He defeated death in His resurrection so that we can have life.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit’s presence assures us of our relationship with Christ. He guides believers into all truth and exalts Christ. He convicts people of their sin, God’s righteousness, and the coming judgment. He comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts, and makes us more like Christ.
The Eternity
Man was created to exist forever. He will exist either eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is Heaven. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence.
Man
Man is made in the image of God and is the supreme object of His creation. Man was created to have fellowship with God but became separated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, man cannot attain a right relationship with God through his own effort. Every human personality is uniquely created, possesses dignity, and is worthy of respect and Christian love.
Salvation
The blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way of salvation through the forgiveness of sin. Salvation occurs when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin. Salvation is a gift from God, and it cannot be earned through our own efforts.
The Church
The Church is a local community of baptized believers unified through faith in Christ. It is committed to the teachings of Christ and obeying all of His commands, and it seeks to bring the Gospel to the world. The Church works together in love and unity, intent on the ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ.

Our Core Values
We’re all about people because God is all about people. One of the ways we express our love for Him is through our love for people, and we do this by helping people who come to Living Water grow in their relationship with the Lord. Below are the seven core values that drive our church community, it helps us in executing the Vision and Mission God has given us.
- Christ First
- Everything we do is for His glory and for His honor.
- Everything we do is for His glory and for His honor.
- People Are Priceless
- We practice genuine love and respect for one another.
- We live to Serve
- We see serving as something we get to do – not something we’ve got to do.
- Practice GENUINE Generosity
- It’s more about what’s in your heart than what’s in your hand. Generosity is gratitude in action.
- Community (WE Before ME)
- We are always stronger when we work together.
- Integrity in EVERYTHING
- The true stamp of godly character is honesty and authenticity.
- Mentorship MATTERS
- We believe that mentorship is the key to generational legacy; the key to success in any endeavor.

Our History
2007
September – The Lord placed a desire in the heart of Pastor Joel La Torre to start a Bible-based, Spirit-empowered church in Woodland Park, New Jersey, that would impact his Community.
2008
September - On the 21st, Living Water held it's first service at the West Paterson First Aid Squad at 23 Rose Place in Woodland Park, New Jersey.
2009
January - Six Months after our first service, we began also meeting on Wednesday night Bible study as the congregation continued to grow.
2010
July - The Church continued to grow and the facility at 23 Rose Place for over a year and a half was getting to small as the Children Ministry grew and we needed more space. Trusting in the Lord and knowing His faithful promises, we prayed and continued to ask the Lord for Direction. In July we went from a 500 square ft. space to a 3000 square ft. space and moved to 20 Andrews Drive.
2019 - 2020
December - In December of 2019 we were hit with disastrous COVID-19 Pandemic. But it did not stop our ministry. Living Water church on January 2020 began live streaming. This was Pastor Joel & Pastor Dinora first time live on social media. The audience grew on our live stream. As churches were considered to be essential to our society. Living Water Church was allowed to have services outside. Vehicles gathered and people worship from there vehicles. It was amazing to see how we came together and needed to be in fellowship. Our Church Grew!
2022
September - Living Water Church is thriving and growing and we no longer have enough space. In faith, we acquired an additional 3000 square feet of space to accommodate our Welcome Center, Mothers Room, Young Adults, Youth Ministry, LWKIDS Ministry, a Kitchen, and more administrative Offices.
2024
October - As a thriving ministry Living Water Church is currently in negotiations to acquire an empty warehouse to accommodate a 400 Seating sanctuary while still have our current 6000 square feet of ministry space. We ask for your prayers as we move in what God has spoken over this house to fulfill his purpose through Living Water. God is in Control!
